Where is no firewall on the svn server , The network is stable  - I'm
working in  Intel Israel J

The only thing , that continuously happen , is - additional process that
statsvn.jar open , can you check please in which case statsvn open the child
process? ( in the case , threads =1 )

This is a java version , we use 

java version "1.4.1_01"

Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.1_01-b01)

Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.1_01-b01, mixed mode)

Our server mashine is Linux :

Is your network stable?

It really feels like a firewall/network issue whereby Java cannot do a
"readLine" and it hangs there.

You're right - This command return regular text diff .

May be statsvn not work correctly , because our linux is  64 bit  - UTC 2006
x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

And your jar compiled under 32 bit , as I understand

Hi

Have you modified the number of threads? Or used the default 25?

It seems that the SVN server simply stops responding. This could be the
result of some firewall deciding that you are hammering the server.

I would suggest you try with "-threads 1" and let us know if that changes
anything?

Could you also increase the log so that we would know exactly which SVN call
may trigger this (the second option is that the svn diff returns something
'daft' that blocks StatSVN).

I'm interested in the "FIRING command line.." Lines.

Yes I agree with Jason, we did experience this when we "hammered" the Apache
repository.

Could you do a dump of all threads when StatSVN appears 'blocked' (like a
CTRL+BREAK under windows and whatever SIGV under linux). I'd be interested
in seeing where it is stuck.

Do you have a very very large repository? I'm not sure what happens if you
run out of Java VM memory. 

Does your subversion server have a firewall of some sorts that may think
you're running a DOS attack on it, and blocking you out temporarily
(throttling your connections)? There are some settings to make it go slower,
maybe this would help.
