Hi, I tried Mr. Byrne's idea. But I am getting new errors on bootup. The last few lines of bootup messages are as follows Error: /bin/insmod exited abnormally Mounting /proc filesystem Creating root device Mounting root filesystem mount: error 16 mounting ext3 pivotroot: pivot_root(/sysroot,/sysroot/initrd) failed:2 Also, my /etc/fstab still says / for root device i.e the line in /etc/fstab says: /dev/hda6 / ext3 defaults 1 1. Is this the one to be changed to /dev/sda1?. When I change, none of my kernels start. Its just unable to find root partition!.
