Stephan,
The command that you are looking for is:
# dumpe2fs <rootdev> (eg /dev/sda1)

Then look for the UUID.  It is near the top.  From the looks of there
is not anything else done to enable failover in ssi-create.  Can
someone else who knows more about this confirm it?
