Given what I know now, Kevin, I don't think SSHGuard ever stood a chance
of doing what was expected.

It feels as though this is the opposite of having a rug pulled out from 
underneath, in that SSHGuard was standing on a rug, but then someone put
another rug between it and the floor, without it knowing - what fun!
