SRS Review Session

Hi People,
Just wondering who will be available from the SRS team for the SRS review Monday (12th May) around 5:00 In the LDC1. I can be in attendance as well.
As I mentioned earlier, key members of the SRS team are probably better suited, so if Mark or Joe can attend, it'd be best but anyone else will do as well.
Also, I dont think we need any agenda for this, since its just a review.

Thanks
Arun

!! SRS UPDATES !!

- Igor and I have done a review of the preliminary SRS - see results on the CVS at:
/workspace/srs/SRS_Checklist_20030502.doc

- Most current SRS is: PreliminarySRSv1.1.doc in the CVS at: /Workspace/SRS

- Raj is going to do noun analysis.

- We are going to meet on Monday to finalise the SRS. By this time you are expected to ammend your section to conform with the review results.

- Do use-case analysis and redo the use-case diagrams in Visio. See SRS example uberTurnstile.pf in the CVS at /Workspace/SRS/Examples. This has a good use-case analysis.
- Add validation criteria.
- Add more requirements.
- Add validation matrix.
- Complete any missing sections.... read more

Binder document

This is FYI ONLY!

There is a new directory called 'Binder' under the 'Workspace' module. It contains one file called CASE_Binder.doc. It will evolve into the deliverable to be submitted in wk 21.

This document is owned and managed by the Plans team.

NEVER EDIT THIS DOCUMENT

It contains formatted styles that can easily be destroyed. We will be very angry.

Any additions to it, like srs or arch or hld MUST GO THROUGH THE PLANS TEAM.... read more

New Plans Release Set

SPMP 1.1
SQAP 1.1
STP 1.1

These have been informally released and are available in the 'SPMP' directory under 'Workspace' module.

FYI, these releases aren't as important as the new binder document that has been made.

SRS DEADLINE and Requirements

Guys,

Our deadline for the SRS is 7th of MAy!
There is no option or our design will suffer!

That leaves us two weeks! TWO WEEKS! TWO WEEKS!
1 week to get requirements (not from client) but from research..

another week to do further analysis, document, validate with client and formalise (i.e a formal method for critical functions)...

What is expected for next wednesday:
1) Raw functional requirements based on which state/functionality/interface you are looking at
2) Initial Analysis of those requirements:
i.e relevant UML diagrams for that functionality
these includes:
use cases
use case scencarios
sequence diagrams
state diagrams (if you think they are appropriate)
etc etc... whatever you think is relevant..
3) NOn functional requiremetns
- these will be raw ... read more

SPMP 1.0 Released

SPMP 1.0 was released on Good Friday. Being the first internal release, it is awaiting valuable input from everybody who gives a damn about our plan of action for SSA. The next release is scheduled for week 18. Significant additions to this next release will include STP, and plans for SSD.

SRS Team URGENT MEETING

Guys,

We need a meeting.. scheduled after work hours on Tuesday 22nd April, again in building 10.

Foyer @ 5 pm.

In order to prepare adequately for this meeting we need a whole heap of research.

It has taken a lot of time to realise this, but what is in the URD is a problem. AND a solution. THe PDD was developed to explain the solution described in the URD.

But what we have somewhat lost is this:
1) WHAT IS A CAUSAL ENGINE
2) WHAT DOES IT DO
3) WHAT FUNCTIONS DOES IT NEED TO DO WHAT IT DOES
4) WHAT DOES IT INTERFACE WITH... read more

New Timesheet Template!

Apologies to all who have used the timesheet template from last week. Due to budgeting considerations, we have had to modify last week's template to distinguish between client and internally funded activities.

It will be made clear at tomolo's meeting.

SME MEETING -URGENT-

We are planning for the SME meeting (scheduled 16th April)

It is only 1 hour long. IN LDC lab

What we don't want to do is make is so General and so big, that it ends up being a forum rather than a meeting. We wanna have a specific Agenda and Times Alloted.

SRS people are working on questions.

1) We need to know who will be turning up, please post as comments.. It would be advantageous if you did (to gain a better understanding, and to take notes), but since we are tight on time you may or may not ASK questions. We work specifically to the Schedule.
