> I'd like to know more about hebrew translation and how i can get > involved. thanks, Cyndi rand Last Hebrew translator was Yoav Bagno <yo...@za...> According to statistics Hebrew translation contains 768 translated, 111 unverified and 189 untranslated strings. Issues: 1. SquirrelMail uses windows-1255 charset for Hebrew. gettext does not work with windows-1255 charset or translation is broken. Hebrew squirrelmail.po file uses iso-8859-8 charset. It is possible that these two charsets are similar, but they are not identical. 2. Not sure if RTL formating is correct. 3. If you are using php with gettext support, you need he_IL system locale. 4. SquirrelMail should support reading of windows-1255, iso-8859-8 and utf-8 encoded emails. Replies to utf-8 emails are broken. 1.5.1cvs contains functions that might fix this issue. but windows-1255 charset support function is missing. 5. attachments with hebrew symbols in names should be downloaded correctly, if they use windows-1255 charset. Other charsets should work in 1.5.1cvs after windows-1255 encoding function is written. Translation is not updated for two years. If last translator does not have any plans about maintaining translation, any feedback and updates are welcome.
