This has to do with disabling message caching for temporary compatibility with php-4.1.1. the Prev/Next buttons rely on message caching, and so they are broken in php-4.1.1. php-4.1.1 compatibility is a goal for SquirrelMail-1.2.4, but in the meantime, I posted a (dirty hack) patch to the DEVEL list a little while ago that makes message caching work with php-4.1.1. - Jon > I ran into the same problem.
