I'm currently down in Georgia at the place I used to work (who I wrote
Squirrelmail for in the first place a year ago). They needed to import ldif
files to addressbooks, so rather than duplicate work, I rewrote a chunk of
Lewis' addressbook_import_export plugin and extended its functionality quite
a bit.
Now, import types can be redefined by adding a simple library in the lib
directory of the plugin. For instance, i wrote a csv and ldif library.
Currently, the CSV import type has to be in the following format:
nickname,firstname,lastname,email_address,notes
The ldif import is kinda crude as well, but it works for us, and I thought
others might find it useful.
Please don't consider this an upgrade to Lewis' plugin, because it is quite
different. Try it out and if it works for people, I'll talk to lewis about
making it the next version of his plugin.
