Hi John, On Wednesday, November 23, 2005 you wrote: >> Yes, if you do not use server side sorting and deal with large mailboxes >> then the session can become pretty big in 1.4.5 because it fetches the >> headers of each message in a mailbox in order to do the sort. > I'm already on server-side sorting. Soon to be 750k mailboxes here, not = going to > do that sorting in PHP. ;) I'm trying to work out what "750k mailboxes" is exactly. Do you have 750k users on your server? Do you [personally] have 750k emails in your mailboxes? Do you [personally] have 750k "folders"? Or the last possible combination I can think of is that your mailbox /size/ is 750k? ;) While I know you replied to Paul's request for more information with "assume the latest", that's a terrible thing to do in most cases. Debian was (not sure if they still are) on 1.2.6 in their stable branch, and they call that "latest", I think redhat was at 1.4.4 and called that "latest"... I think you get my point. However you /still/ haven't provided much in the way of information. We don't know anything about your PHP, your IMAP server, etc etc. Did you read the list guidelines? --=20 Jonathan Angliss <jo...@sq...> |
