[SM-USERS] "storage module" Session_start() problem . . .

I have run into a problem where Squirrelmail is giving me the following
error:

Fatal error: session_start(): Failed to initialize storage module.

On this same server I host from, the company has SM running, and I run
two Web Calendar and Drupal. So, I'm trying to figure out why SM fails
and the others do not. What is the proper php.ini?
