Is mail.blackmesa-isp.net one of your hosts? This won't cause the error you're experiencing, but you may not have this configured the way you really meant to. If you want to use SMTP to mail.blackmesa-isp.net, you want to disable the use of sendmail. I admit, it's poorly worded. Sendmail in this case means the use of the sendmail binary as opposed to an SMTP connection.
