Ralf, Nice to see you here (thanks for the endless help on the postfix list!). Typically we've seen prefs confusion happen when two browsers are open on one machine at the same time, logged into two different accounts. I assume that was not the case, but is it possible that the same browser instance was used to log in to both accounts successively? In any case, this is indicative of some of the session-related problems that have been one of the only real serious SquirrelMail issues. I personally have never been able to reproduce it, but plenty of people have... the best I can offer is that you clearly recommend that users close their browser windows after logout and that they never log in to different accounts at the same time (and always try to use the "Sign Out" link for good measure).
