[SM-STABLE] sender address problem

hi,

when sending emails via squirrelmail, the "from" address is
<mail-account>@domain, but the login names here do NOT correspond with the
email addresses. is there a way to tell squirrelmail to get the email
address it uses from the user database instead of creating it itself? i
could code it in by hand if i'd know where this is done ...
