This is all in reference to the Event Log messages I was getting a few weeks ago when I installed this plugin. I hope the author would make these changes so people's error logs won't get filled up. There seems to be no difference in the intent of the plugin or its funtionality. I am sending this small zip file to the list for everyone's perusal. There are some minor changes to some variable declarationd mainly. There are some quotes added around variables, and some $DEBUG --> $debug case changes. For example, if you look at weather.php, you'll see this new variable declaration: $narrative = ""; Because it needs to have something in it before this line later in the code: $narrative .= '<B>' . $new_narrative. '<BR>'; To find any comments about changes I have made, you should be able to do a search for "Billy" (which is my name). This helps me to find out where in the code I am patching something. Please compare these three files to the original TWC plugin 1.2 RC2, from which I started. I don't believe I am getting any more Event Log messages related to the twc_weather plugin. The rest come from other plugins or the main code of SM 1.4.2. I wonder if a lot of this is due to the way PHP 4.3.3 deals with code warnings? Thanks, Billy |
