There is no need to read which is the user who owns the virtual users, it is usually the same for all accounts, and thus can be set on a config file. Assume the following: - One user owns all virtual maildirs, its username and password to use with ftp will be read from a config file; - For a given user, its maildir location will be read from ldap, so base dn, bind dn, uid attribute to search for and resulting attribute (mailbox for example) will be read also from a config file. - with its mailbox path, plugin will ftp localhost (or remote host), cd to mailbox path read from ldap and store .mailfilter Looks very simple to me :)) This will allow to use the plugin with virtual users stored on a ldap server. Next step would make a sql backend... that will be then the long-waited killer plugin for sm... in fact, IMHO, this is the final step to put sqwebmail apart. If you code this, I will gladly test and give you proper feed back. Also, if you need any help on this, call me and I'll be happy to help. -- Marcio Merlone |
