The only problem I think you will run into is rendering. Assuming that the documents are in word (pdf would be easy). wvWare doesn't give you wysiwyg and many of the documents may not look proper. On a windows server you could use COM to print them - but still the printer driver may give strange results if it is very different from the one that the doucment was created with. Subject: [SM-DEVEL] Probably dumb question-- plugin for hylafax Hi. I was thinking about it, and wondered whether anyone ever looked into setting up a plugin so that you can use squirrelmail in conjunction with hylafax to send faxes... The idea would be to allow a user in squirrelmail (who is thus already authenticated) to set up a series of attachments, the to would be the fax number, and the rest would be used to set up a base cover page. You can then use sendfax to queue up the jobs. I think the plugin would be rather straight-forward, and the end result would be that squirrelmail could double as both an email server and a front-end to a hylafax server running on the same machine (or I guess you could always set it up to hit the daemon on another server). The reason to use sendfax versus sending to the daemon is stricly to allow a great number of conversion options. What do people think? I was considering trying to munge together a plugin. Sunil |
