I think there may be a bug in how outgoing messages are saved to the $sent_folder: In smtp.php, if you are using sendmail, then the line terminator is set to "\n". Unfortunately, when saving a copy of the message to the user's IMAP $sent_folder (eg INBOX.sent-mail), the line terminator must be "\r\n". I think that maybe most IMAP servers don't mind, but the one I am using is cyrus, of which I can say nothing nice, and it keeps strickly to the RFC: http://asg.web.cmu.edu/archive/message.php?mailbox=archive.info-cyrus&msg=5629 > According to RFC821 (SMTP), RFC2060 (IMAP4), and RFC1939 > (POP3), the messages must have CRLF termination of all > lines, and all "." characters must be escaped. thanks, el...@ri... |
