Hello,
today I received a base64-encoded mail. When opening the mail, all german umlauts where displayed correct. But when replying to that mail, all german umlauts where replaced with strange charakters (happens on subject line and mail body). With 8bit-encodet mails everything works fine. Are there any patches/workarounds?
Some info about my server:
http://www.kaiserauer.org/index.php?site=serverinfo/serverinfo
SquirreMail Version:
1.4.9a (CVS updated) with today's german locale

Maybe also relevant:
The base64 encodet mail uses charset="UTF-8",
the 8bit encodet mail uses charset="iso-8859-1".
If there are other information needed, please tell me, I'll keep a copy of the mail.

Enable lossy_encoding in SquirrelMail configuration.

Hi,
sorry for my late reply, but I was out for holiday.
Your tip "enable lossy_encoding" really solved my problem, much thanks to you!
