Check to see if your IMAP server has an option that says
something about moving expunged messages to the trash
folder. Does your email appear in the selected destination
as well?

I'm having this problem with squirrelmail 1.4.5 some of the
time:
In one installation with vlogin on a debian box, it works
fine against dovecot 0.99.14 with one virtual host, but does
not work with dovecot 1.0.alpha5 or courier with other
virtualhosts. With this installation the ones that work
store everything in mysql and the ones that don't don't.
Another, simpler installation works fine with that same
courier host. This one does not use mysql.
It seems really random to me and I hope this gets some
attention.
Thanks,
-Dave

Could you show your cyrus configuration files? imapd.conf
and cyrus.conf
Could you make sure that same issue is present in 1.4.8
version? Make sure that you have same issue in installation
with no plugins enabled. Make sure that you have same issue
on other machine or that you don't have some "web
accellerator" software installed.
