Hi, I am trying to do the difficult task of migrating a H2 database to mariaDB for easier replication/master-slave config etc. After lots of researching I decided to give squirrel sql a try. I was able to connect to my mariaDB. I have an embedded H2 database running in a gerrit instance. I got the jdbc driver working for H2 and can create an alias that successfully connects, but it seems like it's not actually connecting. For testing purposes I copied my h2 db file into a local dir (say gerrit.h2.db) I create an alias with H2 embedded and URL: jdbc:h2:<fullpath>/gerrit.h2.db un/pw can be blank or sa and no pw and it still connects? When I actually look at it it's has the name, INFORMATION AND PUBLIC SCHEMA. However the PUBLIC schmea is completely empty and that's where the data is if I was to use gsql on the gerrit server. If I look in my local dir I see a new file was created appending .mv.db??? gerrit.h2.db.mv.db I don't know what to try next? |

Folks: Just auto-upgraded to Java 1.8.0_31, and now Squirrel is refusing to start, displaying a message that it requires at least 1.6. It worked fine yesterday before the upgrade. I updated my java version (windows 7 32 bit) to 1.8 and updated Squirrel to 3.6 snapshot 20141108_2236. The JDBC/ODBC bridge is not working and it looks like it is no longer there (or Squirrel cannot find it). Any ideas on how to fix? I do utilize DB-specific drivers for most connections but still use the JDBC/ODBC bridge for alot. |

Hello all, I'm running Apache Phoenix 4.2 on top of HBase .98 and Hadoop 2.5. I'm running the whole stack on my workstation in "pseudo distributed mode" (essentially a single-node cluster). I'm trying to use SquirrelSQL 2.6 Standard to connect to Phoenix, however I keep getting an exception. Hi, I have installed Squirrel Sql client 3.6 in a laptop running Windows 8.1 os. But somehow the text size in menus, sql window and other areas is too small and not readable. I have removed all old directories and tried to install in various new locations but still have the same issue. Reinstalled several times but still no luck. It depends on how you wrote the sql. The sql needs to have no carriage returns between two sql lines. That is: SELECT * FROM DUAL will not work. SELECT * FROM DUAL will work fine. If you have only one script you can place the cursor anywhere inside the script and press Ctrl + Enter, and it will automatically run the script you placed the cursor in. You can also run it by pressing the running man icon. If you have multiple sql scripts and you want to run them all at once, each script must end in semicolon, and you have to select all the scripts and then run. Each script you run will open inside a tab in the lower part. Each tab has a running man icon in the rightmost part of the tab. That will rerun the script. For example if you uncheck the limit rows and want to rerun it, or change the no. of limited rows, or you changed anything that would change the output of the same script.
