There are quite a few DB2 i5 things which do not work under system naming. To access the i5, we are using Rob's DB2 plugin which was not written for anything but SQL naming. Support for running a statement in system naming and some basic functionality was added a few years ago, but it's hit or miss. I've thought of trying to go through the source but never had the time and I would probably need assistance finding all of the related areas to make system naming fully working. SquirrelSQL just had a very nice writeup last September in System iNews. http://www.systeminews-digital.com/systeminews/201109?pg=10&pm=1&u1=texterity&linkImageSrc=/systeminews/201109/data/imgpages/tn/0010_tsxtpd.gif/ I hope this helps. The following error message is shown: "Cannot edit table because table cannot be found or table is not unique in DB". This occurs even if I use a qualified table name (LIB/TABLENAME) in my select statement. If I use naming=sql everything works fine. Is there any way to use this function with the naming=system? I'm using Squirrel 3.2.1 and JTOpen 7.5.1. |
