Hi there, Am interested in helping take squirrel to the next stage... I am interested in working on areas of DB migration and a JDO persistence output with associated runtime classes... I won't be able to spend huge amounts of time due to a young family but would like to see these ideas be part of squirrel as these are things that I would make use of myself and in the end will do as I haven't found anything else that comes close to what I see as a good migration tool... The JDO persistence stuff is something that I have already done a lot of work on but in the end it is very immature and would require a total re-design... currently the JDO stuff isn't to the spec, nor is it anything more than a single row to object mapper at the moment, the idea was to keep the O/R layer as lean as possible for client side applications... Sorry to say I haven't checked out the source yet but will do soon :-) cheers kermie... |
