Hi, There hasn't been much happening with SQuirreL lately. Between ridiculous= =20 hours at work, losing my hard drive, converting to Linux and getting enga= ged=20 I haven't had much time but hopefully thats going to change now. I don't want to do too much more with version 1.1, I'm rewriting the obje= ct=20 tree, cleaning up the plugin API and fixing a lot of bugs. Once a stable=20 version is released we can concentrate on the next version 2.0. Theres a lot of major work required on SQuirrel for version 2. A few of t= he=20 areas requiring work include: - Allow users to change data in tables. - Table creation/maintenance wizards. - Data filtering. Allow users to "drill in" on data. - Better handling for blobs/clobs etc. - Data export/import. - Web Start. - Store Favourite Queries. - Stored procedure execution wizad. Some of you have indicated an interest in working in these areas but sinc= e I=20 lost my harddrive (and therefore most of my email) I've got no idea who w= ants=20 to work on what.
