Andreas, Trac is a great project collaboration tool, but it doesn't support integration with CVS - only SVN. I was once an opponent to switching to SVN as the integration with Eclipse (via subclipse) was very buggy. However, I've been using Eclipse and SVN for a while now in other projects, and it seems subclipse has improved greatly (not perfect, but definitely not a liability anymore). So, I would be in favor of switching to SVN now. I'm not sure if everyone else shares that sentiment.
