hi,
I've installed latest version snapshot squirrel-sql-snapshot-20191007_2306-standard.jar
When I'm trying to connect to any system I get these errors
Last encoded character (before the paddings if any) is a valid base 64 alphabet but not a possible value
or
javax.crypto.IllegalBlockSizeException: Input length must be multiple of 8 when decrypting with padded cipher
command line is
start "SQuirreL SQL Client" /B "%LOCAL_JAVA%" -Xmx8192m -d64 -Dsun.java2d.noddraw=true -XX:+HeapDumpOnOutOfMemoryError -XX:-UseGCOverheadLimit -cp %SQUIRREL_CP% -splash:"%SQUIRREL_SQL_HOME%/icons/splash.jpg" net.sourceforge.squirrel_sql.client.Main %TMP_PARMS%
thanks in advance
dimitris

java version "1.8.0_221"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_221-b11)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.221-b11, mixed mode)
I'm sorry for the inconvenience. A snapshot with a fix can be found here:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/squirrel-sql/files/3-snapshots/snapshot-20191010_2233/
Could you please let me know if the fix works for you?
Thanks.
Excerpt from change log:
1409 Error connecting database because of "javax.crypto.IllegalBlockSizeException: Input length must be multiple of 8 when decrypting with padded cipher"
The bug was introduced with feature #25 (Password encryption) and was contained in the last two or three snapshots before this fix.
Users who already used feature #25 will have to reenter the passwords they chose to encrypt.
