On Java 11 I get a warning when launching SQuirrel on MacOS.
The error is:
WARNING: An illegal reflective access operation has occurred
WARNING: Illegal reflective access by net.sourceforge.squirrel_sql.client.gui.mainframe.AppleApplicationTools (file:/Applications/SQuirreLSQL.app/Contents/Resources/Java/squirrel-sql.jar) to method com.apple.eawt.Application.getApplication()
WARNING: Please consider reporting this to the maintainers of net.sourceforge.squirrel_sql.client.gui.mainframe.AppleApplicationTools
WARNING: Use --illegal-access=warn to enable warnings of further illegal reflective access operations
WARNING: All illegal access operations will be denied in a future release
Looks like the code that issues this warning is responsible for creating an "application dock icon" on MAC OS. The code doesn't seem to be of vital importance.
Nonetheless as I don't have access to a MAC I'd appreciate a patch by someone who can fix and test this issue. The code can be found in this class:
https://sourceforge.net/p/squirrel-sql/git/ci/master/tree/sql12/core/src/net/sourceforge/squirrel_sql/client/gui/mainframe/AppleApplicationTools.java
