When trying to execute the following query, squirrel hangs. No matter if the tables exist or not.
One Processor fully used by javaw.exe.
Running SQuirrel 3.9 on Win7 connected to DB2 Database on GNU/Linux.
SELECT 2, 'A'
FROM A,
M,
V
WHERE A.A1="abc"
AND A.A2=M.A2
AND M.M1=V.M1
/ some comment/
UNION
SELECT 2,'M'
FROM A,
M,
V
WHERE A.A1="abcd"
AND A.A2=M.A2
AND M.M1=V.M1

Sorry, I can't reproduce your problem.
Could you do the following:
Open a CMD window and execute the following command:
<your jdk="" directory="">\bin\jstack.exe <squirrel's process="" id=""> > <directory of="" your="" choice="">\stack.txt</directory></squirrel's></your>
SQuirreL's process ID can be found in your Windows task manager.
Please attach the file stack.txt.
