#1339 continual processor load, memory indicator changes constantly

Observerd on version 3.7.1, 3.8.0, 3.8.1 after update java8.0.121 -> java8.0.161, Windows 10, java installed in both 32b/64b mode

Steps to reproduce on my desktop:

1. start SQuirreL
2. open connection to database (oracle or mysql)
3. switch to another application and back
4. -> SQuirrel started to load processor to ~25% continually, memory indicator moves from low to up repeatedly

Load stops after click in menu or opening any dialog in SQirreL (preferences, Alias..)

SQirreL is working without problems, no error is indicated in log window.

This problem is due to a Java bug in version 8 161/162, see

Ok, I leave this one open for a while in case others run into the same problem.

Hi,
For info I have
Win7 pro
java version "1.8.0_171" 32Bits
Squirrel version 3.8.1
And I still have the issue CPU goes to 100% during +- 20 seconds, clicking the garbage collector solves the issue.
Waiting for Java update :-)
