Thanks for all your help Davide, the problem was that I had 2 =
PySQLRDB.py
files, one in the location you pointed and another over zope.
I was changing the wrong one :s, sorry but I'm not very cleaver :)

strange, it should work...try to remove PySQLRDB.pyc before compiling
