Hello Jonathan de Halleux. I have the same ConfigurationException ("WikiNet.Config.DataProviderConfigurationHandler, WikiNet could not created") exception. I added following section into my app.confing <appSettings> <add key="test" value="myString" /> </appSettings> and this lines in DataProviderConfigurationHandler.cs NameValueCollection appSet = ConfigurationSettings.AppSettings; Console.WriteLine("test: " + appSet.Get("test")); The String "test: myString" appeared in console, so it was my fault to say that the config could not found. Something else seems to go wrong? The "CacheManagerSettings" section with CacheConfigurationHandler works fine. I have this problem with my and the example wikki database. Of corse I don't use the same webconfig.xml ;) In wikki.cpp I use TrustedConnection with MSDE. I created the DrinkOMete database and executed all querry's. I read that the web.config must have following structure: <configuration> <appSettings> <add key="key" value="/value/" /> </appSettings> <system.web> ... </system.web> </configuration> But the webconfig.xml have an other construction. Thank you taking time for me. <web.config> <!--add this before system.web--> <configSections> <section name="wikinet" type="WikiNet.Config.DataProviderConfigurationHandler, WikiNet"/> </configSections> <system.web/> <!--add this after system.web--> <wikinet> <data defaultConnection="WH4L"> <providers> <clear/> <add name="Sql"/> </providers> <connections> <clear/> <add name="WH4L" provider="Sql" catalog="DrinkOMeter" connectionString ="data source=127.0.0.1;Trusted_Connection=yes;Initial Catalog=DrinkOMeter" providerPath ="" databaseOwner="dbo"/> </connections> <dataProviders> <clear/> <add name="Site" objectQualifier="wiki_"> <providers> <provider name="Sql" type="WikiNet.Providers.SiteSqlDataProvider"/> </providers> </add> <add name="SiteRole" objectQualifier="wiki_"> <providers> <provider name="Sql" type="WikiNet.Providers.SiteRoleSqlDataProvider"/> </providers> </add> <add name="Door" objectQualifier="wiki_"> <providers> <provider name="Sql" type="WikiNet.Providers.DoorSqlDataProvider"/> </providers> </add> <add name="PageVersion" objectQualifier="wiki_"> <providers> <provider name="Sql" type="WikiNet.Providers.PageVersionSqlDataProvider"/> </providers> </add> <add name="Version" objectQualifier="wiki_"> <providers> <provider name="Sql" type="WikiNet.Providers.VersionSqlDataProvider"/> </providers> </add> <add name="Page" objectQualifier="wiki_"> <providers> <provider name="Sql" type="WikiNet.Providers.PageSqlDataProvider"/> </providers> </add> <add name="Link" objectQualifier="wiki_"> <providers> <provider name="Sql" type="WikiNet.Providers.LinkSqlDataProvider"/> </providers> </add> <add name="SP" objectQualifier="wiki_"> <providers> <provider name="Sql" type="WikiNet.Providers.SPSqlDataProvider"/> </providers> </add> </dataProviders> <procedures/> </data> </wikinet> </web.config> Jonathan de Halleux schrieb: > COuld you send you webconfig.xml (don't forget to spoof you connection > settings) > > At 18:01 15/03/2004 +0100, you wrote: > >> Hallo Again. >> >> In DataProviderConfigurationHandler.GetProviderConfiguration(String >> providerType) >> the line: >> XmlElement config = >> (XmlElement)ConfigurationSettings.GetConfig("wikinet"); >> create a null object. >> I have place the /Web.config file into the project. >> Have you an idea why /ConfigurationSettings don't find the "wikinet" >> section in /Web.config file?/ >> / >> Greetings Tomek >> / >> >> >> ------------------------------------------------------- >> This SF.Net email is sponsored by: IBM Linux Tutorials >> Free Linux tutorial presented by Daniel Robbins, President and CEO of >> GenToo technologies. Hallo Again. In DataProviderConfigurationHandler.GetProviderConfiguration(String providerType) the line: XmlElement config = (XmlElement)ConfigurationSettings.GetConfig("wikinet"); create a null object. I have place the /Web.config file into the project. Have you an idea why /ConfigurationSettings don't find the "wikinet" section in /Web.config file?/ / Greetings Tomek / |

Tank you for answer! I can use the generated wikki classes now I start with my own sample database with one table called 'bereich'. I notice that sqlpp create an extra file bereichFacade.cs. The wikki classes don't contain such xxFacade files. Do I need the bereichFacade class and for what is the Facade required? In bereichFacade the debugger can't find the type bereichDataTable -> protected bereichDataTable typedDataTable; Any idea? The bereichFacade impelents IComponent. Have I the possiblity to change some behavior at design time? Greetings Tomek |

Hi, answers are inlined. I have updated a new version of sqlpp (v2.10) that fixes bugs related to NullableTypes. > Hallo again! > I have a couple of questions to the sqlpp framework. Hallo again! I have a couple of questions to the sqlpp framework. I compile the wikki database successful :) Now I try to use the generated wikki classes with a c# project. I found out that I have to implement NullableTypes-1.0.dll and ApplicationBlocks.Data.dll to run the project. After this, the beduger don't find the CacheManager. As soon as I know ASP.NET |(System.Web.Caching.Cache) |provides || this class. I have difficults understanding this. I will not use ASP.NET. In the wiki generator file the cs_generator instead of aspnet_generator is used, too. Have you an advice ? What is mapped in the dbshema.dot file? What the flags in wiki_generator.cpp file doing? cs.set_using_data_reader(false); cs.set_using_data_set(false); cs.set_using_xml_reader(false); cs.set_using_facade(false); Do I need the lines only for the aspnet_generator ? cs.add_connection(conn); cs.set_exception_handler("Controls.Add(new LiteralControl(\"<br/>\" + ex.ToString()));"); Thank you! Hi, The .Net wrapper is out of date some it should have problems to compile.=20 Moreover, it is incomplete. I had to abondon it due to the limitation of= MC++. Yes there might be a problem with the .Net wrapper and boost 1.31 since=20 sqlpp was compiled against 1.30.2. I will try compiling sqlpp with the new boost release. I was trying to use SQLParser in C# but without success. First - SQLppNET.Parsers.SQLParser object don't have any useful metod or propert. I found that he has static metod "parse", but it's impossible to use it because it isn't a public metod. After small correction of cpp source and recompilation of sources I've made some simple test but without any effects - there was even no error. I'm using this incredible library to generate new databases and it works great. Now I would like to work with some already existing db, Can you help me with it? (I'm working with v2.4) tia ziemek |

I am using SS 2000, windows xp, and VS 2003 (7.1) for compiling. The join generated is actually on an index. I scanned index columns and created pseudo fk constraints to mine secondary relationships. I just added 2 related tables to the query and output the sql. This might not be the best approach, but I am still learning sqlpp at this point. R.D. -----Original Message----- From: sql...@li... The generated DDL seems to have a large number of line feeds in some places. ================Create SQL================ USE AT_DEV GO IF EXISTS ( SELECT name FROM dbo.sysobjects WHERE name = 'FKREF1' AND type = 'F' )ALTER TABLE AT_MEDIA_SUB_CAT_TBL DROP CONSTRAINT FKREF1 GO This is not a real problem except that I am outputting the DDL to an output window and I have to filter them to get an acceptable "look".
