The engine type can be explicitly specified at the end of a CREATE TABLE. E.g., CREATE TABLE test ( id INT PRIMARY KEY AUTO_INCREMENT, value INT ) ENGINE=InnoDB; The patch adds an engine keyword into the SQLObject that can be used to append the ENGINE specification to every table creation.
