I'm running Sql-Ledger-2.8.24 on Slackware-12.2. I cannot print a complete Trial Balance, or other report that extends beyond one page. The latest manual I purchased is for version 2.6.x, but I saw nothing in there on how to print reports. I use ctrl-p to print the display to a file, but get only the first page. It actually does make sense for some of the reporting features and the workaround is easy enough, just go into the customer properties and set the start date as far back as you need. Sounds like an error in the code to me, I should be able to have a new salesman, client or customer walk in, do a deal and finalise with an invoice or purchase order. If the code wants me to at least wait a day, that sounds wrong. Any idea to see as bug and have Dieter fix this? Check that your "start date" in your customer profile is not forward dated or the customer won't start showing up in the list until that date. Also check the pricegroup and salesperson. There used to be some bugs around that. Dieter pretty much got
them all cleaned up some while back, but maybe you managed to find
one still there. :)

Paul, I can see all other clients, but not the new one. The project number and project name show up in the AR display, but I cannot select the proper client. All that can still be factored in according to the service accounts,
it's just a work-around for SL not having an HR module. It's still
the same financial transactions taking place just that having an
associated vendor makes some of the reporting a little easier, (less
human error potential!). As long as the appropriate accounts get
credited/debited along the way the accountant can still get the right
reports/numbers and everybody is happy.

Hello I have all my employees set up as vendors. I still deduct the proper taxes and such when I pay them I just put their wages on one line and select a wage expense account then on the next lines I enter negative amounts to deduct the pension, unemployment Insurance and taxes and choose liability accounts named "Payable". I end up with a a bottom line for the employee that I can print a cheque for and at remittance time I just print a report of the three liability accounts and pay whatever has accumulated there to the government. Here's a typical employee "AP Transaction", you can add anything you want into it. I just entered a new client and project. I want to enter two invoices for that client but the name does not display in the drop-down list in the AR->Add transaction page. What have I missed?
