Hello, I am trying to print my letterhead on every page of the invoice. First thing I tried is to put the invoice's's headers on every page and it works. Than I put \include{letterhead.tex} and the letterhead is not printed. \includeonly{letterhead.tex} is present in the preamble. I would like to know as well what the meaning of variables is in pagebreake. If I use "65 27 35" the system moves the whole invoice table to the new page. When I change to "65 20 35" it prints fine (including invoice's headers) but the letterhead is not printed :(. ************************************************** <%pagebreak 65 20 35%> \end{tabularx} \rule{\textwidth}{2pt} \vspace{0.2cm} \hfill \begin{tabularx}{\textwidth}{Xr@{\hspace{.5cm}}r@{}} & Subtotal & <%sumcarriedforward%> \\ \end{tabularx} \newpage \include{letterhead.tex} \begin{tabularx}{\textwidth}{*{5}{|X}|} \hline \textbf{Invoice No} & \textbf{Date} & \textbf{Order No} & \textbf{Salesperson} & \textbf{Page} \\ [0.5em] \hline <%invnumber%> & <%invdate%> & <%ordnumber%> & <%employee%> & 1 \\ \hline \end{tabularx} ************************************************ -----Original Message----- From: sql...@li... Well it turns out that my request was a little premature as I sort of got it figured out. I still don't fully understand how the pagebreak system works with latex as I do get strange results when it comes to anything beyond the second page. I don't think this will be an issue for the time being so I'm not too worried about it. If anyone has any links to good information on this I would appreciate receiving them though as I would like to better understand how pagebreaks work rather then just hacking away at the latex template until I get a decent result. :) -- Lenny Lenny Leblanc wrote: > Hello list, > > I'm a little confused about how latex handles pagebreaks. I am behind :) Current SQL-Ledger 2.6.22 with Postgresql 8.1 Moving to SQL-Ledger 2.8.14 with Postgresql 8.3 I created the backup through the SL gui, but when attempting to restore with psql -U etc I get a recurring error until it drops ERROR: invalid byte sequence for encoding "UTF8": 0x8b HINT: This error can also happen if the byte sequence does not match the encoding expected by the server, which is controlled by "client_encoding". Through SL Admin, the datasets are assigned the default encoding. Can someone shed some light on this? Thanks, David Boyle |

We're running 2.8.8 and get HTML code in the item descriptions when a sales order is generated from a timecard. Specifically, the line breaks in the tech's notes come through to the sales order as actual "<BR>". Anybody know if this is fixed in newer versions? Thanks! Those are good ideas. You could do the test again and flush the browser cache in between. On Firefox it is Tools->Clear Private Data Try just checking off the Cache. If you still see the problem (even after trying a different browser), my best guess is that you could use an upgrade. If you have a spare machine around, you could copy over your existing system and data, do the tests to see that you still have the problem, and then upgrade. It will take some time, but it is a low risk endeavor as you still have your production system running. You can also test the hell out of the upgraded system so your confidence in a cutover increases. Good luck - Bob G On Sun, 2008-03-16 at 07:32 +0100, Paul Tammes wrote: > Ah, that is very strange indeed. > Just an idea, maybe you have cache and temp file set to ON in your browser > somehow, and the problem is not with SL but with the browser? Ah, that is very strange indeed. Just an idea, maybe you have cache and temp file set to ON in your browser somehow, and the problem is not with SL but with the browser? I mean. if you do an update after every single field (telling the SQL database which fields are supposed to be filled with what values) would it STILL change lines / fields? Would be troublesome but still a workaround till the real fix comes along. However I have been running SQL ledger since 1.8x and have not yet seen anything like this, either on Internet Explorer, or on Firefox or Konqueror, so either I do my data entry different, or have been very lucky. That being said, I do use the ENTER key a lot, I am a keyboard oriented person. 2008/3/15, Stuart Luppescu <sl...@cc...>: > > On 火, 2008-03-11 at 20:29 +0100, "Rolf Stöckli (tokon)" wrote: > > > Dirk Enrique Seiffert schrieb: > > > I have the same problem here: After entering a value in AP > > transaction and > > > hitting update the first line gets switched to the first available > > AP account, no matter what accout was selcted before. > > > > This looks much like a problem with HTML form data handling. I also have this requirement for the export service, where we also require volume , and packaging 9 number of cartons ) , in addition to the N W and G W , there 4 fields are all in the sale order and invoice but I just can not find out how to print them out , so they sum up at the end of the column. if you look at shipping / ship all these are list out nicely in the entering screen, but the packing list do not print out with these 4 fields allant Rolf Stöckli (tokon) wrote: > (SQL-Ledger version 2.8.13) > > One of my customer, an industrial bakery, needs on his export invoices > information about net and gross weight of the delivered items. > Actually, we have in SQLL the following (please correct me if I > misunderstand): > - Articles have a single field for weight > - In sales invoices we have for every line a field grossweight (G.W.), > identical with the weight of a single article, and a field netweight > (N.W.), consisting of G.W. multiplied by the quantity > - In sales invoices, we additionally have global fields for the total > sums of these grossweights and netweights. > > Now what my customer needs, according to customs regulation, is the > following: > - Net and gross weight for every product (because the intrinsic weight > of the product and the weight of the packaging are always the same) > - Net and gross weight for every line of the invoice, consisting of the > first two fields multiplied by the quantity > - Total fields for net and gross weight for all the items on the invoice > > My question: Are there other users who have the same needs, so I could > contact Dieter about this subject? > > Greetings > Rolf > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft > Defy all challenges. This looks much like a problem with HTML form data handling. But with 2.8.13, neither on Windows (Firefox, IE), nor on Linux (Firefox, Konqueror) I'm able to reproduce this error. So... what speaks against updating to the actual version? Rolf |

I have the same problem here: After entering a value in AP transaction and hitting update the first line gets switched to the first available AP account, no matter what accout was selcted before. Only workaround I found is NOT hitting the update button anymore. This is on SL 2.8.8 Enrique Cartagena - Colombia http://www.sipcolombia.com |

1) every sale is a sales invoice, only difference is the payment method (cash versus credit). So i guess anyone with permission to use cash register can do a cash sale. 2) Behaviour of ledgers is defined in the CoA (chart of acounts). If e.g. you say there the accrued income tax is an asset, any positive number entered in your payroll journal entry will be seen as a debit, not a credit. I've been having two problems that have popped up recently. 1) A user enters a POS transaction, but it ends up going in as a Sales Invoice. What's really weird is that that user does not have permissions to enter a Sales Invoice. 2) When I enter payroll records, I typically enter the gross pay in account 5410 -- Wages and Salaries, and then the deductions in 2110 -- Accrued Income Tax - Federal and 2120 -- Accrued Income Tax - State. After I enter a couple of lines I hit Update, and after that the accounts and amounts are switched. For example, the gross pay amount might be assigned to account 2120, or the other way around. Does anyone know what's going on? I'm using version 2.6.22. Could these problems be fixed if I upgraded? TIA. -- Stuart Luppescu -=- s-luppescu .at. uchicago.edu University of Chicago (^_^)/ CCSR 才文と智奈美の父 -=-=- Kernel 2.6.23-gentoo-r Modern art is what happens when painters stop looking at girls and persuade themselves that they have a better idea. -- John Ciardi |

(SQL-Ledger version 2.8.13) One of my customer, an industrial bakery, needs on his export invoices information about net and gross weight of the delivered items. Actually, we have in SQLL the following (please correct me if I misunderstand): - Articles have a single field for weight - In sales invoices we have for every line a field grossweight (G.W.), identical with the weight of a single article, and a field netweight (N.W.), consisting of G.W. multiplied by the quantity - In sales invoices, we additionally have global fields for the total sums of these grossweights and netweights. Now what my customer needs, according to customs regulation, is the following: - Net and gross weight for every product (because the intrinsic weight of the product and the weight of the packaging are always the same) - Net and gross weight for every line of the invoice, consisting of the first two fields multiplied by the quantity - Total fields for net and gross weight for all the items on the invoice My question: Are there other users who have the same needs, so I could contact Dieter about this subject? Greetings Rolf |
