Marc, after installing SpringIDE using updatedate-site all hibernatetools functionality was gone in Eclipse! How did you install Spring IDE? Did you use Eclipse's update manager to install Spring IDE from http://springide.org/updatesite/ as stated in the install guide or did you unzip the "updatesite_x.x.x.zip" archive into your Eclipse installation directory? Perhaps even a solution?? On the latter you're in the same boat as the guy from http:// forum.springframework.org/viewtopic.php?t=7893 :-( On the former we can dig deeper: 1. Did you take a look into Eclipse's error log (Window / Show View / Error Log)? Any unusal observations here? Maybe the Hibernate Tools plugins are indicated as disabled. 2. Did you took a look into Eclipse's product configuration (Help / Software Updates / Manage Configuration)? Any unusal observations (e.g. disabled plugins) here? Is the Hibernate Tools' feature listed here? If yes, is it still enabled? 3. Did you took a look into the installation history (Help / Software Updates / Manage Configuration / View Installation History)? Any unusal observations here? 4. Did you try to rollback to a previous working configuration (Help / Software Updates / Manage Configuration / Revert To Previous)? Cheers, Torsten PS. Please use the support forum (http://forum.springframework.org/ viewforum.php?f=10) for issues like this. This list is intended for communication regarding the development of Spring IDE only. Thank you. PPS. The subject of your mail has a strong tone. Spring IDE's update site stat (created from the apache access logs via awstats) counts more than 9.000 accesses via Eclipse's update manager and more than 2.100 downloads of updatesite_1.2.2.zip this month. It seems that your are the first one which runs into trouble running Spring IDE together with the Hibernate Tools plugins. Sorry about that. The awfull thing is that even deleting all the jars from features/ plugins dirs did not help! ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is Sponsored by the Better Software Conference & EXPO September 19-22, 2005 * San Francisco, CA * Development Lifecycle Practices Agile & Plan-Driven Development * Managing Projects & Teams * Testing & QA Security * Process Improvement & Measurement * http://www.sqe.com/ bsce5sf _______________________________________________ Springide-eclip-developer mailing list Spr...@li... https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/springide-eclip-developer |
