Haris, Spring IDE was / is developed for Eclipse 2.x. But it runs on Eclipse 3.0 too. The "drop Eclipse 2 and port Eclipse 3" stuff was a general question to all if Spring IDE should start using Eclipse 3 specific features and ditch all the Spring IDE users who still have to live with Eclipse 2 only.
