thanks a lot, this solved my problem !

I forgot to define the weblogic.xml stuff. Checked the docs yesterday but
BEA always speaks of EJBs (and I don't use them now).

This could be a topic for the WIKI and may help future Spring users (using 
WLS with EJBs before) to get started.
