"org.springframework" does seem more appropriate but if we change this it should be done IMO prior to the 1st official release to minimize trouble later. If we do it later, confusion will be in abundance and manually produced documentation will also have to be updated. Sounds like a lot of work to get it done in a short amount of time but better now than later. Have we set a time target for the actual production of the initial release distribution ???
