Actually, there weren't any MessageSource test cases around, not before =
and not after my changes. So I have just added some tests to =
AbstractApplicationContextTests/StaticApplicationContextTests/WebApplicat=
ionContextTests, and also some slight reworking of exception handling in =
AbstractNestingMessageSource and ResourceBundleMessageSource. It's =
already committed, please give it a try! On my installation, all tests =
pass.

BTW, I hope that everything compiles - I'm currently trying some name =
changes concerning the mock objects, but haven't committed them yet, so =
I had to commit very selectively.

Yes, you are correct about the line in the code (that was a mod I made =
to try to break the circular ref problem I was encountering).  Perhaps =
it is my ResourceBundleTestSuite I constructed. =20
Juergen, can you point me at a test case you have that does the nested =
msg source?  The problem is only seen by me if it is not resolved in ANY =
context AND you did not pass in a defaultMessage.=20
