[Springframework-developer] Spring v1.2.8 MBeanExporter adding v2.0 Notification feature

Hello,

I am working on a project that currently uses Spring v1.2.8. I am 
interested in using Spring's JMX support. The JMX support in v1.2.8 
doesn't have the Notification support, which was added in v2.0.  I am 
wondering if it is possible/feasible to back-port the v2.0 Notification 
support to v1.2.8? If so, is anybody else interested in this?
