The plan is to release 2.0 M4 in the course of this week, with 2.0 RC1
following in early May. A 1.2.8 release will happen inbetween.

For the time being, I recommend to use the most recent 2.0 milestone in
development projects. The upgrade to 2.0 RC1/final will be seamless.

watch the JIRA and you will get some good signs. Probably some developers
may tell you when they intend to have a version out (I think it has
something to do with JavaOne).
