  By the way, speaking of XML...

  I wonder if anyone had a chance to look at 
http://opensource2.atlassian.com/projects/spring/browse/SPR-1333
  I am not sure how new xml parser for Spring 2.0 had been implemented 
but it probably would benefit from using suggested approach.
