Hi Darren,

From my point of view, it's fine to remove anything that's been deprecated
before 1.2 final. This in particular applies to class hierarchies with
template methods, where deprecated hooks tend to confuse subclass creators.
I've applied an analogous rule on our way from 1.1 to 1.2.

Hi all,

A while back there was a discussion about deprecated methods.  I think we
tentatively agreed that methods deprecated prior to the release of 1.2 were
candidates for removal in 1.3.  The point being obviously not to break apps
upgrading from 1.1 to 1.2, but not to have such restrictions on upgrading
from
1.1 to 1.3

Is this still the case?  I'd like to remove something in AbstractXsltView
that was deprecated in 1.2 RC1.
