It's supposed to build and run on everything >=3D 1.3.

I'm implementing the 1.4 build later today in the autobuild system, so
we can check this also...

I don't know about the missing jdbc stuff by the way, maybe somebody
else could shed a light?

We're trying to build Spring on a JDK 1.4.2 system, and the build is
failing due to some missing JDBC classes.

Is 1.2RC1 supposed to build on 1.4? Is it supposed to run on 1.4?
