Hey Juergen, I've used the transaction annotations in my hibernate3 annotations muck around project and it works great. Annotations definitely make everything feel a lot nicer. Cheers, Dan -----Original Message----- From: spr...@li... [mailto:spr...@li...] On Behalf Of Juergen Hoeller Sent: Friday, 18 March 2005 7:03 AM To: spr...@li... Subject: [Springframework-developer] JDK 1.5 annotations for Spring 1.2 Everybody, I've just migrated Colin's and Rob's JDK 1.5 support over to the main sources: both the transaction annotations and the JMX annotations, in slightly reworked versions. I consider them ready for 1.2 RC1 now. The build script has changed accordingly. When running Ant on JDK 1.5, Spring will be built including the JDK 1.5 support (with everything else still runnable on JDK 1.3+); when running Ant on JDK 1.4, Spring will simply be built without the JDK 1.5 support. Test suite building and execution will adapt automatically too. I've also adapted JPetStore accordingly and introduced an annotation-based version with minimal differences. The new "annotation" subdirectory contains configuration and a PetStoreLogic implementation that uses our JDK 1.5+ Transactional annotation now, analogous to the existing "attributes" directory which provides similar functionality based on Commons Attributes. Feel free to give this stuff a try from CVS or nightly snapshots :-) Juergen ------------------------------------------------------- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users.
