There's been talk about replacing CGLIB with Janino. I use Janino a lot and it's a very nice tool. However, Janino is IMO not fit to replace CGLIB in Spring. Classes generated by Janino cannot be de-serialized in another VM because the generated classes can probably not be loaded.
