Hi, I'm using an Eclipse plugin called Jetty Launcher (details: http://www.eclipseplugincentral.com/Web_Links+index-req-viewlink-cid-211.html). You have to feed it a war file and it starts a Jetty instance from within Eclipse which allows debugging of your code. This plugin apparently sets a init parameter in the background called classpath on every servlet in your web.xml. This obviously turns DispatcherServlet wild since it doesn't have a classpath property. It also drove me crazy, I had to search for over an hour to solve this very wierd exception: DispatcherServlet doesn't have classpath property. Would it be possible to handle unknown properties a bit more gently, maybe by logging a warning or something? I solved the problem by extending DispatcherServlet and adding a classpath property but may not always be possible. Thanks Steven |
