[Springframework-developer] Re: Dao implementation with ldap

My 2 cents.

I probably wouldn't try to push LDAP into a SQL like API, given that there's 
a JNDI API built into Java (which is also fundamentally different). Spring 
should leverage off this.

If transactions were implemented, it would be nice to make the tx manager 
pluggable like Spring JDBC - so maybe it can't be left to a later time.

A first implementation could be to provide connections using IoC and and 
just convert checked exceptions to the Spring DAO exception hierarchy, and 
maybe provide Templates to remove the JNDI plumbing code.
