I agree with all your points - we need one place for support.

You asked about the current website host.  I don't think the issue is so 
much bandwith as it is an administration issue.  Serving up static 
content is low maintenance from an admin standpoint and we don't really 
have a SLA issue.  If you put up a support application of a more dynamic 
nature, it changes the whole picture and I think we should find a host 
that is set up with a SLA in mind.  It would be frustrating to look for 
support and find the support site beeing down.  All of a sudden you have 
two support issues :-).
