[Springframework-developer] Hierarchical ApplicationContexts

what is the best solution to create hierarchical ApplicataionContexts, 
where the child is a component of the parent?

  For now, I am using ApplicationContextAware. Is there a better way? 
Does the BeanFactory/ApplicationContext have a magic name to reference 
itself?
