Eyecatcher change indicators out of sync
Performs a cell-by-cell comparison of Excel Worksheets.

It appears that in the after file if a new row was added that if there is change to an individual cell in a subsequent row the cell itself will be properly colored to indicate an update, but the eye-catcher indicator will be one row above it. A few more rows later you add a new row, then an individual cell change after that will be two rows before. This is a cumulative out of synch condition.
Are you making document changes while using Stop on Miscompare? If so, then yes they will be out of sync. The report, merged different and compare column really need to be thrown out if any changes are made.

No not using Stop on Miscompare, letting it run to completion always
Are you using Data Compare? Any specific options?

Data compare with primary key in column 4, using ignore on columns AQ:CA, but otherwise believe I had the defaults (let me know if there is a way to dump the settings to help you).

My guess is the data compare is the issue. In the code I see only one change column defined, so most likely if you look at the change column it is the same in both sheets, which is fine for the cell be cell compare. I will see if I can change that. Mean time, if you can sort your data it may give you better results.

Can't sort the data because of how it comes to me and how I must pass it on. Here is a screen shot of all the dialogs for a compare:

Okay, then for the moment, just use the other reports.

Try the new release (v1.31.0). It should be fixed now.
For v1.31 Eyecatchers for original file seem to be in synch, but for after file are now worse as the cell coloring is not aligned with the actual cell that changed. Again it seems to be related to insert or delete of lines throwing this off.
Found the issue, thanks. Appears to only occur when stop on miscompare
enabled and then only when skipping rows or sheets. Try skip to next cell,
or end instead. Briing up another problem that the row selection box on the
stop popup will mess with database compare option, so that feature will have
to come out.

I don't use stop on miscompare so it is disabled. There may be another underlying issue.

Then you might need to send me your worksheets, or some other ones with the issue. I ran on my test sheets and it looked fine (other than the stop on miscompare issue I found). You can see my test below.

As of v1.32 the problem has been resolved with the new variant of eye-catchers - this bug can be closed.
